It was just an ordinary day. I woke up at 7:30 in the morning. I get out of
bed, go to the bathroom to take a quick shower, brush my teeth, get dressed and
get ready to leave for school. I went to my first period class, which was a
drag… what else is new? Second period, the same thing , but only this time I
took a little nap. Third period was better, go to go a group activity and
workshop our memoirs we had just written. Then my favorite, lunch time! I met up
with my friends and as usual we stood in the courtyard for about ten minutes
trying to figure out what and where we were going to eat. Sounds like an
ordinary day, right?
Fourth period is when it all started. In fourth period we started with a free
write and of course my out of control fourth period class tried to argue their
way out of the free write. My class has a tendency of wasting class time by
arguing with my teacher. Then all of a sudden my teacher couldn’t take it
anymore. She sat down at her desk and started to read a book, then out of no
where my classmates started to cheer as if they had just won a battle. It was so
weird. But it only gets weirder. My teacher then gets up from her desk, but when
she does, she is wearing something completely different she is wearing a long
dark purple cape. She stands in the front of the class and tries to compromise
with us to do our work. She tells us if we do our work we get two golden coins.
Two golden coins? What were we supposed to do with two golden coins?
I started to rub my eyes. Purple cape? Golden coins? What was going on? I asked
my teacher if I could go to the bathroom, because everything just didn’t seem
right. Maybe a splash of water in my eyes would change everything. When I was
walking back to class, I noticed I forgot to bring the pass, and all of a sudden
I got attacked by a huge hog looking creature. The hog jumped and pushed me
across the hallway floor. As I laid there on the floor, I saw the hog looking at
me as if he was going to eat me. Then the hog started walking towards me. As he
got closer and closer to me I just knew I had to get away, so I started to run.
As I was running away, the hog yelled, “Hey! Get back here! You don’t have a
pass!”
I finally lost him and I started walking around. Everything seemed to be so
different. The hallways were darker than usual, the lockers were longer and
bigger, and everyone was wearing medieval looking costumes. It was crazy. As I
continued walking around, observing everything that was around me, I saw this
boy that was at his locker and then steps into it. Then all of a sudden a
flashing light appears out of the locker and he is gone. I ran to the locker and
opened t. when I opened it I saw the most beautiful colors ever. Lights and
shapes floating around inside it. It was amazing!
I stood at the locker contemplating if I should do the same as him. I stood
there for a moment and took a deep breath. Then I stepped into the locker. As
soon as I stepped into the locker it was something that I have never
experienced. I was up in the clouds. It was the bluest blue I have ever seen. i
was standing on only one cloud and all the others were separated. I looked
around and there were those golden coins my fourth period teacher was talking
about. There was music playing in the background all around. It was the kind of
music you would hear in a Super Mario game.
I stood on that one cloud for a couple of seconds. Then I noticed there were
other people jumping from one cloud to another collecting the coins. So I bent
my knee down and jumped up. I swear, I must have jumped so high I thought I was
going to pee in my pants. And when I jumped up, I hit the coins. And when I did,
it made this “dinging” noise. I kept jumping and collecting coins and as I was
jumping from one cloud to another, a weird image appeared. I couldn’t really
tell what it was at first but as I got closer to it, it became a little clearer
and it appeared to be something that looked like a castle.
I finally got close enough to the image and as I predicted, I t was a castle. I
stood in front of the castle. It was huge. I stood there admiring its greatness
and beauty. I stood there for about ten seconds then all of a sudden a magician
looking like man stood in front of the huge castles doors. He said to me, “Three
gold ones please.” I looked at him confused and replied, “Three gold ones? What
is that?” The magician looked at me as if I was stupid. He gave me a grunt and
then without any hesitation he moved onto the next person. They next person
handed him three gold coins. I then knew what he was talking about and got back
in line. I handed him three gold coins and entered the castle.
When I got inside the castle walls, there was so much activity going on.
Laughing everywhere, all kinds of creatures everywhere, it was unbelievable.
There were games going on within the castle. So many of them. I walked around
looking at each of the games. I finally stopped at on because it was the only on
that seemed to catch my attention. There we’re these great, magnificent white
horses all lined up, with all kinds of different people and creature on top of
them. Then a big “ding” sound rang and they were off. The horses that they were
using to race were unicorns! I have never seen one in real life. They ran so
fast and looked so beautiful while they were running. There was so much yelling
and excitement going on, I knew I just had to try it. I knew this was the game I
wanted to play. So I walked up to the sign up table, signed up for the next race
and began to get ready for my race.
“DING!” And I was off. The race was like nothing I have ever experienced.
When I was on that unicorn, it felt like I was flying. We were going so fast, it
was amazing. I just kept going and didn’t pay attention to any of my opponents.
And I finally got to the end of the race and I won. I won three life saver
medals that I could use anytime I wanted.
After my race I just continued to walk around. I even met a friend. He was a
small dwarf named Gunther. He was very friendly and loved to talk. He wouldn’t
stop talking. He would ask me questions and but wouldn’t even let me answer them
because he would already be on the next question. Or he would answer them
himself as if I was the one who asked him the question. Gunther and I just
continued to walk around and I coutinued to listen to him talk and talk and
talk.
Then he asked me if I’ve ever been to
