Amanda Alef was born and raised in Berkeley, California.  She has been dancing ballet at the Berkeley Ballet Theatre since the age of five.  She has devoted the majority of her time to dance and plans to continue her training in college.

Katherine loves working with children.  She's been working at daycares and elementary schools for three years.  To expand her resume, she currently works at Vista Community College, and hates it.  After high school, she plans to either continue with the biotech program she's in, or attend one of the state colleges around the Bay Area.  She's not quite ready to move far away from home yet.

Bonnie was born in San Francisco and has lived in the Bay Area her entire life. In spite of chronic asthma, she has been skating with the SF/Bay Area chapter of the Northern California Speedskating Association for five years.
 

Chantal rules the world, justly, with a sketchbook.  She likes to write, does most kinds of visual art, and is currently costuming the Berkeley High fall play. She writes about dinosaurs like no one else.  One day she hopes to direct movies that send the world into roils of joy. She is often hyper, especially after lunch, much to the dismay of her English teacher, and has been caught wearing a cape.  She is influenced by Peter S. Beagle, Diana Wynne Jones, D.C. Stone, Kay Ryan, Julie Taymore, Jim Henson, Brad Bird, and Edna Mode.

Born in Berkeley, California, Lily Friedman values artistic development and creative expression.  She works with children in community schools and art programs.  She is involved with several youth leadership and empowerment organizations.  She enjoys travel, knitting, and the outdoors.
 

Having fulfilled the inscrutable motives which led it to assume human form, the enigmatic entity known as “George” has returned from whence it came.  Though students of the Forbidden scramble to dig up some kernel of new information about the antediluvian being from this most recent manifestation, it remains aloof and shrouded in mystery.  Ancient secrets may have been uncovered, but they have served only to raise still more blasphemous questions.

Dior is a 12th graders at BHS.  His hobbies include playing basketball, going to the 200, and exercising.  His favorite subject is this Reading and Writing the Short Story Class where he can put his ever-so adventurous, chaotic thoughts on paper.  He hopes his experience suits you well.  So grab yourself some popcorn and soda, and back, relax, and enjoy the show.

Corinthia enjoys dancing, reading, and listening to music.  She is currently looking into the music industry to gain knowledge in that area.  Corinthia lives in Berkeley, California with her mom.  She plans to attend a four-year black, historical college or an art college in the fall of 2005.

Sam is currently a 17-year-old senior attending Berkeley High School.  He enjoys painting models, reading, writing, and working in theater.  Knowing that most people don't know stage terms, he has included a glossary at the end.
 

Caitlin lives in Berkeley and always had except for one awful year spent in Connecticut during her sophomore year.  She will be going off to college--which college is not known.  Bina is her very good friend.  Wow.

Scott is a senior at Berkeley High. This will be his first piece of published work ever. He generally only writes in his journal just before going to bed and rarely shares his work with others so this business of writing online for all to read is very new and different for him. Although he is hesitant to publicly share writing, in his heart of hearts Scott is a storyteller, with great respect for those who can vocalize and dramatize any tale. More than anything he hopes to learn the art of storytelling, so come ye both old and young tall and short, come hover over the warm glow of your screen and listen to a tale.

Born in India, Ravi immigrated to the United States at a very young age.  He is now a chess player and a senior in high school.

Julia Voorhees is a 17 year old senior from Berkeley High. Julia has always enjoyed writing, while she seldom does for anyone else. Starting from a very early age she has always written imaginative stories the world will never read, always destroying them so no individual could ever read them. Julia lives with her Mom, Dad, and brother in North Berkeley, along with their cat Spooky, a bird, and her pet python Abby. Along with writing Julia loves to read, swim, draw, and snowboard.

Clara Williams is an 18-year-old who loves to lose herself in her own little world.  She loves to cuddle with her cat, Buttons, while writing in her dairy.  She attempts to live with her "dysfunctional" family, but prefers friends.
