David Adams		David lives comfortably in North Berkeley with his parents and little brother. He enjoys playing music and making food with friends. His eyes are not red in real life.
James Barnett		James is an entertaining, charming guy. His passions include rowing, eating, sleeping and acting like an idiot with his friends. He lives for days when he can skip school and go surfing. He is a fan of living life and not worrying about what's going to happen in the future.
Clio Bernhardson-Massolo		Clio (not Chloe or Ms. Clio) has been writing and riding horses since... forever. Her favorite thing to do is gallop bareback sidesaddle through large alfalfa fields. Sometimes she falls off.
Sophie Bridgers		Sophie lives with her parents and her dog, Zorro, in Berkeley, CA. She has been dancing for as long as she can remember and spends most of her time in the studio. She enjoys writing in her free time and is excited to have her work "published."
Robyn Brown		Robyn Brown plays defense on the field hockey team. She is a good sport. Robyn is an avid OC watcher and the VCR is her best friend. If she could, she would go to Hogwarts. But she can't. Because it's not real. (Bio by Emma S.)
Jennifer Cain		Jennifer Cain was born in New York City, and grew up in Berkeley. Outside of school, she dances with the Berkeley Ballet Youth Company. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her friends and traveling in her free time.
Josh Caraco		Who is the baddest memoirist of all time? It can only be Josh Caraco. Critics agree his work rivals that of Maya Angelou, Joan Didion, and Monty Python. And no, you can't have his autograph.
Emma Claudeanos		Emma Claudeanos was born and raised in Berkeley, California. She loves reading, writing, watching scary movies, and her family. She also loves taking long walks in the cemetery; read her memoir to find out why!!
Henry Corrigan-Gibbs		Henry Corrigan-Gibbs is a young writer based in the East Bay. He attributes his sharp wit and writing prowess entirely to his junior year English teacher, Matt Carton. This is his first published work.
Glenn Davy		What can I say about Glenn? Well, he wears the same sweatshirt everyday... that's about it... wait... he also play go... is that it... yes.

Amanda Eyges		Amanda Eyges is a memoirist based in Berkeley, CA. She enjoys lawn bowling, croquet, and occasionally golf cart racing. She was 17 when she wrote and participated in this memoir and its subject matter. She hopes you enjoy it.
Sam Finn		Born in Oakland (so you know he has edge), Sam occasionally alarms bystanders when his interior monologue spills from his mouth. He enjoys long walks on the beach and someday hopes to watch Richard Gere kill Oprah with a sword.
Ian Flanagan		Ian Flanagan likes baseball and his computer. He enjoys sarcasm more than he should. Most of his writing has a taste of Dave Barry and David Sedaris, yet he feels he has a style that is entirely his own.

Rachel Hamburg		Rahcel Gilmore has been known to dabble in the land of humor writing. Reality is not a concrete concept for Rachel, and when germs and Michael Jackson's face become too overwhelming, she leaves.
Dan Heinrich		Daniel Heinrich went to Detroit once, it sucked. He then traveled to LA, bad experience. Fed up with domestic locales, he sought out French Polynesia and has not been the same since.
Gabby Hernandez-McKig		Something Gabby is likely to say: "So, yesterday I was walking and--Hannah, move!--we saw this sign --where are we going?-- pointing in this place and-- Oh! Pretty. Please tell me you guys saw that!--it was full of Cal kids getting totally sloshed. Good times!
Russell Hilken		This here is Russell. He likes reading and writing about he West and outdoors. When he is not reading John Steinbeck or Norman Maclean, he's riding his bicycle or just enjoying the sunshine. Sweet.
Owen Hillis		Owen was going to have a cat story, but his group didn't like it. MMMFF.
Megan Hourula		Megan Hourula (right) likes to watch sports. She loses all control at the sound of a crowd and the crack of a bat. The tight spiral of a football and the swoosh of a net rule her life. In between watching sports games, she finds time to play volleyball everyday of the week. Megan values all time spent at "the game" no matter what level, she is happy to be there.
Gang Huang		Gang who moved to the United States in 2000, does not belong anywhere. He would choose to wrestle bears over sitting still, but prefers reading his favorite book over watching the WB.
Kate Jacobsen		Kate wrote her memoir about the two weeks she spent with a host family in Southern France. It wasn't quite as bad as it seemed, but it was close.
Eva Jepsen		My name is Eva Jepsen. My interests are going to the beach and hanging out with friends. I guess you could say I'm a little goofy, but I can also be serious if necessary.
Darcey Kurashige- Elliott		Darcey Kurashige-Elliott is a senior at BHS. For 3 of her 4 years in high school, she has had Mr. Bye as an English teacher. Has it paid off? See for yourself.
Abe Leiman		Abe Leiman enjoys many things. He enjoys evening cycling, tea time, and chatting on the telephone. He credits the majority of his inspiration to his good friend Daniel Heinrich. Abe currently resides near the reservoirs of Berkeley, CA - a city that has left only a small impression on him. He is, however, originally from Boston, MA, and hopes to return there for college. Abe also enjoys playing bass, and he has grapes all day.
Nate Levin		Nate likes to eat food. Especially good food. He wrote a memoir about his Bar-Mitzvah. I think it's pretty interesting. I don't know why.
Leslie Lu		Leslie likes to collect rocks and stickers. She is interested in trying new activities and likes to use the internet for researching. She also likes day dreaming and dogs.

Justin Malachowski		Justin is from a small planetary system called Bowro in the Sinope Galaxy. On his 18,000th birthday, he set out in the universe to make his own way. After many years of travel, he found his way to a small blue planet full of unexpecting simple life-forms called Humans. At that Blue planet, Justin decided to blend in and live among the humans of Earth.
Ishan Mohindroo		Ishan Mohindroo is a senior at Berkeley High School. He has lived in Berkeley all his life, but is looking forward to moving away for college. He intends to study mechanical engineering and enter the arena of energy policy.
Daniel Moreno		Danny has lived in Berkeley with his mommy and stanky dog, Michelle, since he was so gloriously extracted from mommy's womb. He lives for video games, editing and producing movies, dancing, and Cirque Du Soleil. His outta control and flame-buoyant personality shines like a sparkling disco ball.
Jessie Moritz		Jessie moved from Australia to Berkeley a couple of years ago and travels between the two countries a lot. Most of her time is consumed by crew, but she likes to hang out with friends, plan parties, and admires cute animal. When she graduates, she wants to study foreign affairs and eventually become an Australian ambassador.
Johan Philippine		Johan Philippine is an adorable guy who takes life one blunder after the next, with the intermittent successes in between. His mistakes turn normal situations extraordinary and sometimes hilarious. He enjoys fencing, rock climbing, and making himself feel special whenever possible. He hopes you'll enjoy his stories.
Nick Perovich		Nick Perovich was born in Chicago, ILL and moved to Berkeley when he was 5. He doesn't enjoy reading or writing. He plays baseball and likes comedy movies. Giants, 49ners, Warriors and Sharks are the best teams in pro sports. He aspires to be a millionaire who travels the world.

Adam Poole		Adam Poole, proud resident of Kensington, first learned to write on his home planet of Pluto. He finds stories a wonderful way to connect with his favorite creatures, the frogs. Each one has the potential to turn into a handsome prince in whose castle Adam can someday live.
Ryan Race		Ryan is like a strawberry shortcake; short, sweet, tangy, and mostly white. As an artist, she loves to express herself freely. She also has a group of hip, trendy friends, all of whom she loves dearly, none of whom are in her memoir... enjoy!
Annie Rigney		Annie Rigney has lived in Berkeley her entire life. She loves dancing, being silly, her friends, and most important, chocolate.
Lana Robinson-Sum		Lana enjoys reading masterpieces like "Gone with the Wind", listening to Chopin, and playing F-hoc (fsho!). She does an excellent impression of a turtle but doesn't have to perform it very often anymore.
Lani Rosenthal		Lani is the champ. She really likes to camp. You will find that hiking is definately to her liking. She has a lot of friends. She'll love you to the end. So come read her little story, or you'll end up dead and gory. (Bio by Sophie B. and Robyn B.)

Emma Schnur		Emma is a fun-loving Capricorn. She has heck of friends, including one very special one. Even though she has asthma, she still loves to kick it on the dance floor. Luke Vavasour		Luke Vavasour was born and raised in Berkeley, California. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, but he still appreciates his down time writing. While taking a psychology class at Vista, he learned of a category of people he fit right in with: sensation seekers. Sensation seekers do things simply for the thrill. This explains the title of this memoir: Memoirs of a Sensation Seeker.
Faryal Wadood		Faryal Wadood migrated from Pakistan. She loves to dance and is practicing to learn Indian dance. My memoir is about my school life in Pakistan and then when I moved to the U.S.A.
Ardith Wood		This is Ardith's first year at Berkeley High. She moved to Berkeley over the summer. Ardith likes soup, rain, and Calvin and Hobbes, preferably together.
