Tina lived in a beautiful red brick house with her dad, her mom, and her big brother. She was the youngest one in the family. Everybody got along and lived together happily. Tina's dad liked to cook. Tina's mom liked to paint. Tina's brother liked to play the violin. And Tina liked to sing. Tina's dad's cooking was so wonderful that everyone always asked for more of his food. Tina's mom's paintings were so beautiful that people could not take their eyes away from them. When Tina's brother played the violin, everyone stopped and listened to the beautiful sound of his music. |

But Tina wasn't good at singing. No, not at all. When she sang, it was always off-key and everyone would cover their ears until she was finally done. "I'm so horrible at singing," sighed Tina. "I wish I had a talent just like the rest of my family. I'm never going to be able to sing well without talent." "If I can receive the talent from my fairy godmother, I'll be able to sing just as beautifully as the birds!" Tina thought to herself. So she decided to go on a journey and went into a forest in search of her fairy godmother. |

Tina walked and walked until it began to get dark. She kept on walking but she didn't see any houses. She started walking faster, but there still were no houses in sight. Tina was scared, so she started singing to forget how scary it was. Suddenly, a crow appeared in front her. "Your singing is horrible," the crow croaked. "You woke me up." "I'm sorry," said Tina. "I'm looking for my fairy godmother so she can give me a talent for singing." "If you sing on your way, you'll be able to find her sooner," said the crow. "But for tonight, you can quiet down and sleep in my place." So Tina spent the night at the crow's place. |

When the morning came, Tina thanked the crow and started her journey again. She walked and walked while singing on the way, until the sky began to grow dark again. There were still no houses in the sight, and Tina was scared once more. So she began to sing even louder. A robin suddenly appeared in front of her. "Your singing is so loud," twittered the robin. "You woke me up." "I'm sorry," said Tina. "I'm looking for my fairy godmother so she can give me a talent for singing." "If you keep singing, you'll be able to find her very soon," said the robin. "But for tonight, you can quiet down and sleep at my place." So Tina spent the night at the robin's house. |

When the morning came, Tina thanked the robin and went on her journey again. She walked and walked while singing on the way until it was getting darker. But as the sun was about to disappear beyond the horizon, she saw a cabin in front of her. Suddenly, the door opened and her fairy godmother came outside! "Your singing is so wonderful," said the fairy godmother. "Thank you," said Tina. "I have been looking for you so you would give me the talent for singing." "But you already have the talent," answered the fairy godmother. "You can already sing beautifully. All the practicing made you a wonderful singer. Listen to yourself singing." Tina listened to her own voice as she sang, and just like the fairy godmother told her, it was beautiful! Tina smiled. "I will take you home tomorrow," said the fairy godmother. "But for tonight, you can sing to me as much as you want." |

The next morning, the fairy godmother took Tina back to her home in a pumpkin chariot. Tina sang to her over and over again until they finally arrived. When Tina got off the chariot, everyone was so glad to see her. When Tina started singing, everyone was ready to put their hands over their ears, but soon they began to enjoy her voice and asked for an encore when she was done. Now whenever you walk by Tina's house, you can see Tina's dad cooking, Tina's mom painting, Tina's brother playing the violin, and Tina singing her songs. And they all do it so wonderfully! |
