Molly

 

 Molly grew up in Richmond, California. She loves a long nap, writing letters, fresh flowers, and making dinner with friends. She plans to one day attend a four-year college, but is considering taking a year off after graduating.
 

Christina

 Although born in San Francisco, Christina was raised in Berkeley where she continues to reside.  The youngest of three children, she is a senior at Berkeley High School on tract for college. As she prepares to partake upon this chapter of her life, Christina hopes to gain new experiences while using this time to truly define who she is.
 

Silken

 		Silken lives in California and he has for most of his life. He's been in private schools and his first time in  public school was only in BHS when he got there he finally found what he was interested it. Writing, Drawing,and Badminton have totally been his "thing". Writing this memoir just brought back memories of his time here: good and bad. He hopes everyone likes his memoir; he's sure almost everyone remembers when this event happened.
 

Phuong

 Phuong is a student in Ms Theodore class. This is the first year she takes Reading, Write Short Story. She hopes people will enjoy her story.

Sara

   Sara has lived in Oakland her whole life,but always gone to school in Berkeley. Her heritage is mainly in South America. Her mother is from Chile while her father is from Peru, but she was born in the U.S. Her story is based on how from one day to another you can reflect on a passed life even though you haven't really passed. She plans to go to Berkeley Community College and transfer after 2 years. Life brings you vast spaces and huge walls, but there's always a way to get over or around them.
 

I.C.

 Iris has lived in the Bay Area all her life. She comes from a Mexican family. She believes writing is a good way to express herself though she doesn't exactly enjoy doing so. Her teacher thinks she rocks at it though.
 

Jeff

 Born in New York, Jeff spent most of his life in Forsyth, Illinois before moving to Berkeley this summer. His parents are scientists and his sister is a college student. Jeff hopes his memoir doesn't seem like too much of a bummer, because he's happy where he is now. Jeff wants to go to college for audio engineering.
 

Jake

 Jake has been a jock ever since he can remember and plays a lot of sports with his family.  Hopefully his memoir does not make you want to get a new brother like the one he has got.  Jakes currently does not have a writing philosophy, but hopes to talk to many philosophers in his dreams, to find that perfect philosophy.  Jake hopes to work on his art in college.
 

Samantha

 Samantha was born in Oakland but soon moved to Berkeley. Her mother and father are divorced, her brother attends UC Davis, and her cat recently passed away. Anna does not enjoy any of her work but hopes that you might. She believes in hard work and hopes to attend a college where she is happy.
 

 

Eli

 Eli was born into a very loud family on a cold morning in January. She grew up in that big house on the corner of Shattuck and Marin and when her parents got divorced, her dad moved across the street to a very ugly salmon pink house andTheher parents stayed very close friends. She occasionally has dinner with them both now, and although she finds this dynamic strange, she wouldn't have it any other way. Currently, she hopes to stay sane long enough to actually apply to college. The getting in part would also be nice...
 

Sofia

 Sofia Christensen was born in San Francisco, raised in Berkeley. She enjoys playing piano, singing, and doing these two things together in order to avoid doing homework. She hopes you enjoy her story, all rain and sadness aside.
 

Alex D.

 Alex was born in Berkeley, California. He was raised somewhat bilingual as a child but has since forgotten most of his French. Now he enjoys eating, sleeping, hanging out, and playing guitar. He's currently at Berkeley High and plans to go to college, most likely somewhere in California. Buckle up and enjoy the short story as it takes you on a ride inside the head of a troubled teenage boy.

 Maddy was born in Berkeley, California. She has two parents and one sister, slightly older. They have lived in Albany, Richmond and Berkeley. Variously experiences have led her to believe that one ought not take things too seriously. She does not discuss future plans in case she jinxes them.

 Josh Jamieson is a very down to earth person who dreams of visiting other planets. He hopes you enjoy his attempt at writing science fiction and that you will someday find a momentary escape from the hinderances of life on earth.

 Alex is a small town man, with big time ambitions. He enjoys long bike rides on the beach, and philosophical discourse concerning the effects of the previously warned about Military Industrial Complex.
 

Mako

 Makoto Yuan is of Japanese descent but was born in Berkeley California. His aspirations include, studying engineering/sciences, learning 8 languages, and becoming a superhero. He has been playing videogames since he was less than one year old, and plans to continue playing games even when he is 1000 years old. He also hopes you enjoy his short story.
 

Cody

 Cody was born in China and had only benn to US for almost 4 years. He was planning to go to UCB, but it seems like it's impossible for him to get in there now. He dose not believe in any philosophy about life or writing, maybe he just haven't found one to believe in.
 

Tenzin

 My story is place at engineering college in India. The reason why I am doing this story is because I one time heard in new that India is number one in commiting suicide, specially college student. i know the reason why because i was born in India. So my story is there is two main character where one teaches the other how to live life.
