The Unexpected

It was a cold, dark and rainy day. The boy went out in the pitch black after a fight with his parents. He decided to go for a walk out in the cold all by himself. After he walked for twenty minutes, he heard a loud scream. He thought to himself, did he really hear a loud scream or was he tripping off the weed he smoked earlier.

But his instincts told him that it was a loud scream not because he was high. So he walked over by the dark lake and went underneath the tunnel. The farther he walked, the darker it became, not knowing what could pop out in the dark hidden tunnel. All of a sudden, a huge, tall man came and attacked the boy.

About twelve in the afternoon the next day, the body of the boy was discovered by his mom when she came out looking for him. She immediately called the police and in a freighting voice she yelled: “my son has been murdered!!” Detective Homer Sanchez and his partner Jeff king was called to the scene by their boss. They immediately rushed to Lake Merritt. After seeing the body, it was not a pretty scene to look at.

They looked at each other in shock and said “with all my experience as a detective, I’ve never seen a murder like this”. He has been with the force for about ten plus years and never ever encountered something this horrifying. The body was covered all over with blood and the head looked as if it was bitten off or torn. The two detectives asked the parents Mr. and Mrs. Duncan of why their son was at Lake Merritt so late at night. They replied, “He went out for a walk because he was very angry at us from yelling at him when we caught him for smoking weed”.

The mom looked very big and she was very tall, but too old to hurt someone. The dad was also huge. The detectives put the parents as suspects into this crime scene. Detective Homer Sanchez examined the body very closely and found huge hand prints on the body of Bobby Duncan.

But detective Jeff King ignored it. When the two detectives turned around, the parents disappeared in a blink of an eye. “Homer come over here”, said Jeff. “I found this hideous garden tool for digging and planting flowers. I wonder if this was the weapon they used to chop off the head.” So the two detectives went to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan’s house to ask more questions.

As they approached the house they saw lots of gardening out in the front. They knocked on the door, Mrs. Duncan answered the door and detective Sanchez said “well I seen the front lawn, it seems you love to spend time gardening on your free time” and she replied “yes, I certainly do.” “Well we came to talk to your husband Mr. Duncan” “well sure come right in.” said Mrs. Duncan Mr. Duncan came down, “oh hello” detective Homer and Jeff how may I help you?

“Well you can help us by answering some questions about your son’s death.” Said the detectives, His head seemed to be chopped off by some sort of gardening tool. Do you like gardening Mr. Duncan? Hey hey wait a fucking minute! you think I had something to do with my son’s death? We just need to know Mr. Duncan. “Hell no, I don’t like gardening; I would rather watched Sunday night football then waste my fucking time gardening like a pussy.”

“Now get the fuck out of my house.” said Mr. Duncan Mrs. Duncan came out and showed them the exit. “Hey honey can you believe them that they think I killed my own son and chopped his head off, it makes me sick.” Shouted Mr. Duncan the two detectives had only one suspect left, well that’s what they thought.

The two detectives Sanchez and King are so lost in this investigation. They have not found any clues in solving the crime.

“Hey Sanchez, have you ever seen this kind of horror in a murder before” King said.

“Man, I’ve been in the department for quite sometime now and Hell Nooo I never seen this type of murder before”, in a loud voice Sanchez replied.

“Hey lets go back to the crime scene and see if we can find any evidence that the suspect left behind”.

“I’m right behind you Sanchez”.

So the two detectives went back to the crime scene at Lake Merritt and they were walking inside the tunnel of where the boy got killed. The two detectives searched for hours and days but could not come up with nothing still.

The last option was to go to the forensic lab and examine the body for themselves.

“Hey Sanchez get, over here,” King shouted out

“Wha - what is it?” Sanchez whispered.

“Hey look at his back”, Sanchez said

“WTF!!”

With both of the detectives in complete shock on their faces, they stood for a few minutes speechless.

“Who would do something like this Sanchez?” King said

“I have no fucking clue, but we definitely have to find this motherfucker for what he had done.” Sanchez said

The two detectives just witnessed that the boy had a huge slash on his back which you can see the inside of his body. The way the slash was done, had to be by some kind of creature or sharp object. With this much information we could be dealing with some kind of sick freak here or someone who kills for revenge.

“Hey let’s go by the Duncan’s house and snoop around some more” Sanchez said.

“Alright let’s do that.” King said

The only clues that the two detectives had were the head was chopped off with a gardening tool, and one huge slash on his back. Around nine at night, the two arrived at the residence of MR. and Mrs. Duncan’s.

Knock knock

Mrs. Duncan answered the door.

“Ohhh Hello how can I help you?”

“Mrs. Duncan, do you have any type of animal living with you?” King asked

“Huh, animals? Oh yes we have a pit bull here but its mighty friendly though”

“May I ask why??”

“Sure. We suspect that whoever killed your son was either one crazy motherfucker or a serious creature we are dealing with here. I know it sounds kind of strange but we found a huge slash mark on your son’s back” Sanchez explained.

“Nooo it doesn’t sound strange, it’s just horrifying.

So the two detectives returned back to headquarters trying to get some rest before the next day on their long unsolved crime. They decided to follow the strange Duncan parents and found some shocking new evidence. Around midnight the two detectives spoke into a recorder and started recording what they saw.

“ This is detectives Homer Sanchez and Jeff King here on a very quiet Sunday around midnight we have just witnessed that the pit bull of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan’s has just transformed into a huge freaking beast. After taking the picture the two detectives have found complete hardcore evidence against the parent that they were the ones behind it. Before they reached back to the headquarters to report the huge beast, all of a sudden we hear loud screams.

“OMFG somebody help us!!!” Sanchez screamed

While Mr. and Mrs. Duncan just walking right past the car like a ghost as if they never saw anything. “Now it’s perfect we got rid of our stupid child and the two detectives.” Said Mr. Duncan “Honey now we can be left alone in peace” said Mrs. Duncan.
