KyraÕs Bad Day

By. Adriana Jones

Kyra was the meanest girl in her fifth grade class she would push boys into the dirt and spit in all the girlsÕ hair. She had no friends but she didnÕt care she liked how everyone feared her.

ÒPlease no Kyra, donÕt put gum in my hair the last time I couldnÕt get it out with peanut butter only my mom had to cut it out,Ó said a girl Kyra was antagonizing.

Kyra wasnÕt the biggest girl in her class in fact she was actually smaller than her other classmates. All the kids were bigger than her but they were all scared to say or do anything to her. She had her own special seat in class and she also had her own special seat at lunchtime. Every day at lunchtime she would go sit in her special seat and tease all the other kids and throw food at them. Nobody ever sat next to her. One day Kyra came to school and somebody was in her seat it was a new student.

ÒYouÕre in my seat,Ó Kyra said to the new girl.

ÒSo I donÕt see your name on it,Ó the new girl said.

ÒIÕm just going to go tell on you then,Ó Kyra replied.

ÒSo go ahead,Ó she said back to Kyra.

ÒMrs. Robinson, that girl over there is sitting in my seat,Ó

ÒIts ok honey just let her sit there for today and we will move her tomorrow,Ó Mrs. Robinson said.

Kyra was pissed when Mrs. Robinson said that so she took matters into her own hands.

ÒGet up now,Ó Kyra said.

ÒNo make me,Ó said the new girl whoÕs name was Cheyenne.

That made Kyra really mad so she tried to push her out the seat but instead Cheyenne pushed Kyra down and made her bump her head. Kyra began to cry and all the kids in her class gasped because they had never seen her cry or get hurt before.

ÒCheyenne go to the principalÕs office now, Kyra are you ok,Ó Mrs. Robinson asked.

ÒYes,Ó she replied.

ÒYou want to go to the nurseÕs office?Ó

ÒYes,Ó Kyra said again knowing she had other plans and she wasnÕt going to go to the nurses office she was going to go find that new girl Cheyenne and embarrass her.

Cheyenne arrived at the principalÕs office, not many people were in there except a boy.

ÒHey what you in here for?Ó said the boy.

ÒI pushed this girl in my class on the floor and made her bump her head, what about you why you in here?Ó
ÒMaking noises in class, so are you new here?Ó

ÒYeah my name is Cheyenne,Ó

Meanwhile Kyra was searching for Cheyenne in the hallways itching for a fight. Cheyenne finished talking to the principal and had just walked out the office when she seen the girl Kyra in the hallway.

ÒI am going to beat you up nobody pushes me and gets away,Ó Kyra screamed as she ran towards Cheyenne.

Kyra jumped on top of Cheyenne but Cheyenne was just to strong for her so Cheyenne pinned Kyra down on the ground and began punched her. A lot of people heard the commotion and out came Mrs. Robinson saying stop it both of you now. The teacher pulled the two girls apart and took them to the principalÕs office.

ÒKyra I thought I told you to go to the nurseÕs office,Ó Mrs. Robinson said.

ÒYou did I just had to use the bathroom,Ó

ÒI told you I would move her tomorrow, today is only her first day,Ó Mrs. Robinson replied.

Cheyenne and KyraÕs parents got called and they were suspended for three days. When Cheyenne and Kyra came back to school they stayed far away from each other so neither one of them would get in trouble again. When lunchtime rolled around they just couldnÕt stay away from each other. Cheyenne accidentally bumped into Kyra and then it was on.

ÒYou better watch where youÕre going girl,Ó Kyra said.

ÒShut up or I will beat you up again,Ó Cheyenne replied.

Just as she said that Kyra picked up her milk carton and threw it at Cheyenne but missed and ended up hitting another student and splattered all over the other kids clothes. He retaliated and threw something back but missed and hit another kid and that started a really big food fight with Cheyenne and Kyra in the middle of it all fighting.

ÒNow enough is enough you two are going to sit here quietly and wait for me to get the principal,Ó said Mrs. Robinson.

A few minutes passed by and Cheyenne just wanted to know why this girl was tormenting her she didnÕt even do anything to the girl.

ÒWhy do you keep picking fights?Ó Cheyenne asked.

ÒBecause I donÕt like you,Ó

ÒWhy donÕt you like me?Ó Cheyenne replied.

ÒBecause you were sitting in my seat that day nobody ever sits in my seat,Ó Kyra said.

ÒI would have gotten up but you were so rude, are you this rude to your friends?Ó

In a quiet voice Kyra said ÒI donÕt have any friends.Ó

ÒI see why you canÕt just go around being mean to people,Ó

ÒYou donÕt understand why i'm mean to them they tease me all the time, about my height,Ó

Òso at my old school before I moved here I used to get teased a lot too I was the girl with the buck teeth and I used to get called a beaver but that didnÕt make me want to fight people and try and beat them up,Ó

Cheyenne finished talking and when she looked over at Kyra she had tears in her eyes. She replied I never thought of it that way and I never even attempted to make friends thank you.

ÒIf you want to be my friend all you had to do was be nice to me and when could have been great friends,Ó Cheyenne replied.

ÒCan we start over and try and be friends?Ó

ÒSure, my name is Cheyenne whatÕs your,Ó

ÒKyra nice to meet you Cheyenne,Ó

With that fresh new start Cheyenne and Kyra became best friends and played at each others house every day.
